Publishing

2dview provides a seamless experience for the artist to publish their work.  Using the 2dview bridging tool and the web interface options, the artists can publish the output throughout the studio.

The published output can be reviewed by the Supervisors. For more details on reviewing, refer to the Screening document.

Publishing can be either done in two ways.

  • Publishing using the bridge tool
  • Publishing through web

Publishing using the Bridge :

  • In 2dview, publishing through bridge means creating a record in 2dview platform with the information about the shot path and creating a .mov version of the shot, which can be viewed in the screening section for reviewing purpose.
  • Each time a shot is published through the bridging tool, a version is created under the versions section in the artist panel and named as ‘r’. For e.g.r001, r002, r003 etc.  Here “r” denotes render.

Publishing through the Web

  • Dailies, Internal versions, External versions can be published through the web interface.

Publishing Dailies:

  • After creating a render version using the bridge tool, the artist can publish that version as a Dailies version. For more details about Dailies, kindly refer to the Dailies document.
  • By clicking the add to Dailies button in the quick action menu, the rendered version can be published as a Dailies version.
  • The published dailies version will be added under the dailies playlist. For more details, refer to the Playlist document

Publishing Internal Versions

  • After creating a render version using the bridge tool, the artist can publish that version as an internal version. For more details about the Internal version, kindly refer to the Internal version document.
  • On clicking the Add to internal button in the quick action menu and by selecting the required playlist, the rendered version can be published as an internal version.
  • The published internal version is named as ’i’. For eg. i001, i002, i003.

Note: The supervisor has to create an internal playlist and share it with the artist.  Then only the artist will be able to add a version to the internal playlist.

Publishing External Version

  • After the internal version gets approved by the supervisor, the artist can publish that version as an external version. For more details about the External version, kindly refer to the External version document
  • Clicking the Add to external button with the needed playlist will publish the internal version as an External version.
  • The published External version is named as ’V’. For eg. v001, v002, v003.

Note: The supervisor has to create an External playlist and share it with the artist. Then only the artist will be able to add a version to external playlist
